Terms of Service

By accessing or using Teo — including by texting the Teo number, opening a Teo-hosted list, or connecting an integration — you agree to these Terms of Service and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Teo.

Consent to receive SMS messages is separate from your acceptance of these Terms: it is voluntary, given only by your own choice to text Teo first, never required to create an account, make a purchase, or use Teo's web features, and revocable at any time by replying STOP (see Section 4).

Teo is an experimental AI-powered SMS and productivity assistant, operated by Angel Murillo as an individual (sole proprietor). Teo may help you create tasks, reminders, summaries, schedules, follow-ups, and hosted to-do lists, and may act on connected services you authorize.

The Service is an MVP / private beta. It may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued at any time.

You must be at least 13 years old and legally able to agree to these Terms to use Teo.

• Messages may include conversational responses, task updates, reminders, requested summaries, scheduling information, authentication or service notices, and other productivity messages you request.
• Message frequency varies.
• Message and data rates may apply.
• Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.
• Reply STOP at any time to opt out of SMS messages.
• Reply HELP for assistance.
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is subject to carrier availability and filtering.
• If you opt out, you may lose access to SMS-based Teo functionality.

You agree to provide accurate information, to control access to your phone and connected accounts, and to notify Teo of any unauthorized use.

Recycled or reassigned mobile numbers can create risks — for example, messages intended for you could reach a number's new holder. Please notify Teo if your phone number changes.

Teo may interpret your natural-language instructions and take the actions you request through connected services. You agree to review important actions and outputs.

Teo may misunderstand instructions, produce inaccurate content, or fail to complete an action. You remain responsible for confirming appointments, deadlines, financial obligations, medical matters, legal matters, travel plans, and other consequential decisions.

• Outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or unsuitable for your purpose.
• Teo is not a substitute for professional legal, medical, financial, tax, or emergency advice.
• Do not rely on Teo for emergencies.
• Teo does not guarantee that reminders, messages, or automated actions will be delivered at a specific time.

Integrations depend in part on third-party platforms and may stop working because of permission changes, outages, API limits, or policy changes.

You authorize Teo to access and use connected-service data only to perform the functions you request. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies.

• You are responsible for the content you place in lists.
• Avoid placing illegal, harmful, confidential, or highly sensitive information in lists.
• If you share a link, you are responsible for choosing its recipients.
• Teo may remove or disable content or links that create security, abuse, legal, or operational risks.
• Shareable links may be accessible to anyone who obtains the URL; hosted list pages do not currently require authentication.

You agree not to use Teo for:

• Illegal activity.
• Harassment, threats, fraud, impersonation, or other abuse.
• Spam or unsolicited messaging.
• Attempts to bypass carrier, Twilio, consent, or opt-out requirements.
• Malicious code, credential theft, surveillance, or unauthorized access.
• Content that exploits or endangers children.
• Attempts to overload, reverse engineer, scrape, or disrupt Teo.
• Making high-impact decisions about another person without appropriate human review.

You retain ownership of your content. You grant Teo a limited license to host, process, transmit, transform, and display your content only as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the Service.

Teo's handling of information is described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.

Teo may modify, suspend, limit, or discontinue features at any time. Uptime is not guaranteed.

Teo is currently offered as an MVP and may be free of charge. Third-party charges — such as carrier message and data rates — may still apply. Teo may introduce paid features in the future with notice.

Teo may suspend or terminate access for abuse, legal risk, security concerns, noncompliance with these Terms, or to protect the Service.

You may stop using Teo at any time, and you may opt out of SMS by replying STOP.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, Teo disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Teo and Angel Murillo are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of data, missed reminders, undelivered messages, third-party service failures, or losses arising from reliance on AI-generated content.

You agree to indemnify Teo and Angel Murillo against claims arising from your unlawful use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of the rights of others.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

These Terms may be updated from time to time. Where permitted by law, continued use of Teo after an updated effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
