Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Teo, operated by Angel Murillo as an individual (sole proprietor), collects, uses, stores, and discloses information when you use Teo's SMS assistant, web pages, hosted to-do lists, reminders, connected integrations, and related services (together, the “Service”).

Teo is currently an early-stage MVP / private beta service. Features, providers, and this policy may change as the Service evolves. Use of Teo is also governed by our Terms of Service.

• Account and contact information, such as your name, email address, and mobile phone number.
• SMS content and conversation history sent to or generated by Teo.
• Your instructions, reminders, tasks, notes, and to-do list content.
• Connected-service information when you authorize an integration — for example, Google account identifiers, calendar event information, or email data accessed under the permissions you grant and needed to perform the actions you request.
• Technical information such as IP address, device and browser information, timestamps, logs, error information, and basic usage data.
• Consent and communication-preference records, including SMS opt-in and opt-out status.
• Public or shareable list-page information when you create or open a hosted to-do list link.

Teo uses information to:

• Operate the SMS assistant and respond to your requests.
• Create and manage tasks, reminders, schedules, summaries, and to-do lists.
• Authenticate users and help secure accounts.
• Connect the third-party services you authorize.
• Deliver requested SMS messages and service notifications.
• Troubleshoot, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
• Comply with legal obligations.
• Improve Teo's features and user experience.

Teo does not use your private SMS content, connected email content, calendar content, or to-do list content to train a general-purpose AI model owned by Teo. Third-party AI providers may process content to provide requested features, subject to their applicable service terms and data-processing commitments.

• Message frequency varies based on your activity and the automations you request.
• Message and data rates may apply.
• You may reply STOP at any time to opt out of SMS, and HELP for assistance.
• Mobile numbers, SMS opt-in data, and messaging consent will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

This restriction does not prevent sharing information with service providers that process data solely to operate Teo, deliver messages, prevent fraud, provide infrastructure, or comply with law.

Teo may disclose information to the following limited categories of recipients:

• Infrastructure and hosting providers.
• SMS and telecommunications providers, including Twilio and participating mobile carriers.
• AI and model-processing providers used to fulfill your requests.
• Database, authentication, monitoring, analytics, and security providers.
• Connected services you expressly authorize, such as Google services.
• Professional advisers where reasonably necessary.
• Government authorities or other parties when legally required.
• A successor or purchaser if Teo is involved in a future asset transfer. Any such transfer preserves the prohibition above on sharing mobile opt-in data for marketing or promotional purposes.

These providers process information to support Teo's operation and are not permitted by Teo to use SMS consent data for their own marketing.

You choose whether to connect a Google account or other third-party service to Teo. When you do:

• Teo accesses only the scopes you authorize.
• Connected data is used to provide the functionality you request — for example, reading or creating calendar events, or drafting an email reply you asked for.
• You may revoke Teo's access at any time through your Google account security settings, or through Teo where available.
• Google data is not sold.

Some of your requests may be sent to third-party AI providers to generate responses, summaries, task interpretations, or other outputs you request.

AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate. Review them before relying on them, especially before taking consequential action.

Teo may create web links containing to-do list or task content you ask it to host. These pages use shareable links: the URL contains an unguessable token, and anyone who possesses the link can view and modify the list's contents without signing in.

• Do not place highly sensitive information in shareable lists.
• Teo stores the list content and metadata needed to render and manage the page.
• You can request deletion of a hosted list, or ask to disable sharing where supported, by contacting us.

Teo retains information for as long as reasonably needed to operate the Service, fulfill your requests, preserve your history, prevent abuse, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Retention periods may vary by data type and by service provider.

Teo uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption in transit and at rest:

• Data moving between Teo's systems and our service providers is encrypted in transit using industry-standard protocols (TLS). iMessage conversations are additionally protected by Apple's iMessage encryption; standard SMS is subject to carrier-network handling.
• Your message content, drafted replies awaiting your approval, and related processing records are encrypted at rest using application-level encryption, with encryption keys held separately from the database. A person with database access alone cannot read your conversations.
• Teo never sees or stores your account passwords; connected accounts (such as Google) use OAuth through our integration provider, and you can revoke access at any time.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and Teo must process message content in readable form to provide the Service (for example, when interpreting your requests).

• Reply STOP to discontinue SMS messages from Teo.
• Reply HELP, or contact the support email below, for assistance.
• Revoke connected-account permissions (for example, in your Google account settings).
• Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information.
• Request removal or deletion of a hosted list where technically possible.
• Use browser- or provider-level privacy controls where applicable.

Your legal rights may vary depending on where you live.

Teo is not intended for children under 13, and Teo does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Teo is operated from the United States. Information may be processed in the United States or in other countries where our service providers operate.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, the “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change.
